Dear Friends and Colleagues,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it gives us great pleasure to invite you to the 39th Congress of the Pan-Pacific Surgical Association, Japan Chapter (PPSA-JC), to be held in Okinawa, Japan, from February 26 to 28, 2026. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Professor Naoyuki Kohno, President of PPSA–JC, and the member of the board for giving us this opportunity, which is more than I deserve.
The PPSA–JC found in 1984 by the late Professor Juro Wada to provide young surgeons with an opportunity to present and discuss a wide range of surgical topics in English. This is a unique and valuable opportunity for them to develop global awareness. We expect young surgeons from various fields to attend the conference alongside their mentors. We are confident that it will be an excellent platform for sharing the latest insights, values, experiences, and practices in English and will greatly benefit all participants.
The scientific program of this conference will consist of an invited lecture, a symposium, a Wada Award session, and free papers on significant developments under the theme of “Shape the future of young surgeons –Chasing your dreams–”. We encourage young surgeons to pursue the goals and dreams without giving up. We hope this conference will inspire them an opportunity to think about what they should do now to help them achieve their goals.
We are delighted to welcome you to Bankoku Shinryokan, which is loated Busena Point, one of the most scenic spots in Okinawa, surrounded by a beautiful emerald sea and clear blue sky. We celebrated our auspicious opening by hosting the world’s top leaders at the Kyushu–Okinawa G-8 Summit in 2000. Bankoku Shinryokan is a resort-style meeting facility where attendees can relax and enjoy the tropical atmosphere of the southern island.
